New on the blog: Black Forest..Hello Fall, and hello All! This cold weather calls for a boot walk, and I wanted to share a style inspiration that I just couldn’t get off my head..High-low Maxis and Over-the-knee boots! It’s my first time to combine these two pieces together. It’s a little edgy but I had fun playing with this look. Have a wonderful week ahead and stay warm! #styleinspiration #maxidress #overthekneeboots #falloutfit #fallseason #autumnvibes “Trick or treat, street to street, run little feet to your next sweet!”- Rusty Fischer A snippet of Naiyah’s first trick or treating around the spooky neighborhood. She was ecstatic to be able to join the kids this time. It was indeed a fab-boo-lous and mons-terrific howl-loween night for this little belle of the ball.🎃 🎃 #spooktacular #happyhalloween #trickortreat #jackolantern
And just like that, my birth month has gone by but it was indeed a wonderful month to remember,, a month brimming with laughter and tears of joy, new adventures, and meaningful fellowship with friends that turned into family, who made this occasion truly all worthwhile. There’s no other way of saying it...I feel so L❤️ved. Here are some highlights of the beautiful memories created with my loved ones... Pardon for the late upload.. Couples’ Night Out 10/18/2019 A day at the shooting range: My first experience 10/19/2019 Never in my wildest dream have i ever considered learning this kind of sport.. but after years of saying no, I finally gave in.. just for this day 😬.. maybe 😱 Special thanks to my dearest husband for the crash course. I have to admit, I enjoyed it though I’m still intimidated. I’m glad to be able to learn the basics of safe fun handling. Pumpkin Patch 10/20/2019 Getting lost in the pumpkin patch! What better way to celebrate my birthday than taking our little pumpkin to the farm for pumpkin hunting and so much more..coz it’s no longer about me now, it’s all about her and what makes her grow as happy and as brighter as she could ever be. She sure had the spiciest time that day! 🧡🎃 Fellowship with my FFC family 10/26/2019 Race Day: My First Half Marathon 10/27/2019 Ended my birthday marathon with a half marathon.. #Forty4four : Faithfully and Fearlessly Finished my First half marathon “When your legs can’t run anymore, run with your heart.”- Shosana Sue I give thanks & glory to God Almighty Father, the source of all my strength for a safe & successful first half marathon despite the injured knee & falling off on my face before the run😥 This humbling experience holds a special meaning to me for it is more than just a wish checked off the bucket list. This long & treacherous run represents my odyssey as I put on a brave heart navigating through all the roadblocks, rough roads & detours life has taken me.. (Warning: long caption...again😬) Scroll down for more of this story... This 27th day of October in particular, will always be a day to remember for it was exactly 3 years ago today that I received an important call from my doctor confirming the words I’ve waited for so long to hear.. I was soon to become a mother. It was the most most triumphant moment in my life.. an ultimate birthday present that changed my life forever. And today marks another milestone as I completed the 4 Fs: Faithfully and Fearlessly Finished my First half marathon (#forty4four) on my birth month, a personal goal I made 3 years back that I had to hold off as I was faced w/ a series of health-related setbacks, most notably the back to back knee injuries, the serious health threat during my pregnancy & the long term disabling complications brought about by prolonged labor, which consequently led to multiple fall accidents. All of which have brought tremendous stress in every aspect of my life. Thankfully my baby was in perfectly good health throughout this plight. So, while it may all seem like I have it all together, life hasn’t always given me an easy ride. Behind all the vanities & accolades, are hard fought battles which have most certainly tested my faith & courage, yet have helped me become the woman I am today. Life will continue to throw curveballs that may catch me off guard but I remain grateful for having walked(or ran) through this unending marathon of trials because through them I am directed back to His plan for me, and through them I am reminded of His mighty love & mercy. It isn’t easy to share a personal journey but oftentimes God uses us & calls upon each one of us to share our own story so that others may see & know how great He truly is. Truly nothing is impossible with God who makes all things possible!🙏🏼❤️ My heartfelt thanks to my A team (including ma and pa not pictured here) for waking up so early and braving the cold weather to cheer me on on my first half marathon. It was indeed a long, treacherous and most significantly an emotional run for me but seeing them at the finish line truly made this whole experience all worth the pain. I wouldn’t be able finish the race without them. Thank you for waiting for me at the finish line my ❤️s. Trick or Treat 10/31/19 |
